Our industry leadership and advocacy around Asia

Being one of the industry leaders, Datatrade is actively involved in government policies advocacy on industry related matters such as Personal Data Privacy Ordinance, UEM policy (Unsolicited Electronic Messages) ... etc.

We help advising and drafting industry best practice papers with:

- Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong

- Office of the Telecommunications Authority (OFTA)

- Hong Kong Direct Marketing Association (HKDMA)

- Hong Kong Call Center Association (HKCCA)

We also collaborate closely with various trade and industry associations such as:

- Hong Kong Corporate Councel Association (HKCCA)

- The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers

- Hong Kong Institute of Marketing (HKIM)

- Hong Kong Retail Management Association

- Hong Kong Exhibition Convention Industry Association (HKECIA)

to meet regularly with Legco members, government officials, and media to provide industry insights, especially during the public consultation process. and value.   

Senior Management of Datatrade currently serves on the board of HKDMA as well as the International Advisory Board of the USDMA in the 1990's.  Datatrade is also a member of HKIM, HKCCA and Employers' Federation of Hong Kong (FEHK).

Effective October 1st, 2011, Datatrade became the 33rd member of the Interdirect_Network, an international network of independent direct marketing agencies. Member agencies can only join the network by invitation, and this makes Interdirect the world’s most exclusive group of highly skilled and focused direct and interactive agencies.
