What you should consider

There are much more domain expertises in data entry than most people appreciate.

At Datatrade, we scan the paper forms (e.g. new customer registration forms) into images and our data entry operators input the customer data into the system purely based on the image on screen.

a. Minimize the human touches on the physical customer forms (i.e. better control against loss of forms).

b. Eliminate the need for physical storage and archiving of the paper forms.

c. Enable faster retrieval of customer information through simple searches – electronically instead of manually

In our data entry system, we have already built in reference look-up tables such as Address Master and other validation rules.

Two key benefits for enhancing accuracy are:

a. Reduce free text data input through look-up selection

b. Alert the data entry operator whenever validation rule(s) is violated
