The origin of modern Direct Marketing can be traced back to the United States in the late 19th Century. The term direct marketing is believed to have been first used in 1967 in a speech by Lester Wunderman who pioneered direct marketing techniques with brands such as American Express and Columbia Records.
With the foresight of the explosive growth of direct marketing as a viable alternative to traditional advertising, our founder Bo Salenius brought direct marketing to Asia and established Datatrade Limited in Hong Kong in 1983 as a market pioneer. Our management also served on the International Advisory Board of the USDMA (US Direct Marketing Association) in the mid 1990s with the objective of accelerating & the adoption of direct marketing in Asia.
Since then, Datatrade has expanded the business into 3 major interrelated areas:

3. Gateway to Asia Outsourcing
